The class of 2012 is definitely going places next year, and although CBC will always have a place in our hearts and minds, here is a list of select seniors who have chosen to give their views of the difficult decisions that were made.

Kenny Zesso:

Where do you plan to go to school next year?

UND (Notre Dame)

What do you plan to study (Major/Minor)?

Double Major: Business (Management or Entrepreneurship) and Mathematics, Emphasis: Pre-Law.

What made you pick that school?

When I stepped on campus, I felt like I was “home”. Notre Dame is an extremely well-balanced university, with a strong emphasis on ALL of the following: Academics, social life, athletics, arts, and more. Great professors who TEACH. In my opinion, ND is the best Catholic university in the nation.

Was this school your top choice?

This school was DEFINITELY my top choice.

What will you miss most about CBC?

I will miss the great sports and arts atmosphere present throughout the brotherly community of CBC High School. I will miss Mr. Myer, Mr. Brockman, Dr. Dohle, and many other faculty/teachers who are not coming to mind presently.

What are your feelings about going to college? (Excited, Nervous…)

I am excited…. (13 more days, 12 days off)!, but somewhat nervous for leaving my friends forever (because my aunt and uncle may move to southern Indiana, near Indianapolis, 3 hours from Notre Dame, I may never see some of my best friends again). Excited, elated, nervous, worried.

Kyle George:

Where do you plan to go to school next year?

Im going to Webster University in Webster, MO.

What do you plan to study (Major/Minor)?

I’ll be studying Instrumental Music Education.

What made you pick that school?

I picked Webster because of their amazing and strong music program. Webster has always been known for their program and I was so excited I made it in at the school and also into the School of Music. Also major decision to go to Webster was that it is close to home and I can still visit family now and then.

Was this school your top choice?

Webster was #2 on the list. My 1st choice I made it into the School of Music there but not into the school itself. But it’s ok because I believe Webster is going to be the better fit.

What will you miss most about CBC?

What I am going to miss most about CBC is the amazing family and community that I have built and met here. I’ve made friends with people that have impacted my life so much. Without the teachers and friends that I have made here high school would have been a drag. I can’t wait to come back and see my friends and to come back and see the amazing staff here at CBC.

What are your feelings about going to college? (Excited, Nervous…)

Just like any senior I am sooo excited to be going away and to be on my own. But also with that I am really nervous about college. Being on my own and nobody I know is going to my school so starting completely over is going to be a challenge, but I’m ready!

Joel Borders:

What do you plan to study (Major/Minor)?

Depauw, Howard, or Furman Political Science and Business Management

What made you pick those schools?

I like the atmosphere of those schools and I feel like I would fit in nicely.  Also the quality of education is top tier at all these schools.

What will you miss most about CBC?

I will miss my friends and football.

What are your feelings about going to college? (Excited, Nervous…)

I am excited for college but nervous about being on my own and how hard it will be.

Darrell Satterfield:

Where do you plan to go to school next year?

Saint Louis University for two years then transfer to University of Miami (FL) or UCLA.

What do you plan to study (Major/Minor)?

Major: Biomedical Engineering/ double minor In business & some form of art

Michael Kaelin:

Where do you plan to go to school next year?

Regis University in Denver, Colorado

What do you plan to study (Major/Minor)?

Not sure yet.

What made you pick that school?

My sister went to the University of Denver and lives out there and I was wanting to go D-2 for Baseball so it seemed like a good fit.

Was this school your top choice?

It was one of them, I always wanted to go to Notre Dame or Mizzou but I decided D-2 was best and I wanteda smaller school.

What will you miss most about CBC?

I will miss the brotherhood that we had and all of the guys and teachers that really made an impact on my life.

What are your feeling about going to college? (Excited, Nervous…)

I am excited about senior year coming to an end and summer coming, but I’m a little nervous about leaving because I wish I could be closer to my parents and the people I know.
