CBC is known for being a technologically advanced school. Everyone in the student body has a laptop. Having the latest and sophisticated equipment, also gives students the latest and most confusing problems. We do have an answer to most of our problems, and that answer is The IT Department.
IT is the home of the “computer gods.” They are responsible for 860+ student computers. They take care of viruses, battery wear, computer bugs, and damaged outerwear. They are very important to the CBC community and help us fix most of our problems.
Just three professionals are responsible for solving the hundreds of computer problems that occur every day.
One student recently came to the help desk, holding his computer with only one hand on the screen. In addition to the current rough treatment, he had a virus which almost certainly entered his system when he attempted to download something of questionable quality.
Students need to work together with IT.
